Libya is strategically located as a gateway between North Africa, Europe & the Middle East, offering significant trade potentials. Port of Benghazi is a major seaport facilitating trade in Libya.

It is the most stable economic hub in the country. The presence of the Libyan National Army (LNA) in Benghazi has led to the spread of security and hence guaranteed civil governmental reforms in the city.

Now Libya is on a reconciliation stage post internal conflict. Reconstruction has become a priority for the Libyan administration to pave the way for international partnerships and investments.

With a very ambitious Libyan Marshall Plan, the government is significantly empowering rehabilitation of all Libyan sectors starting - of course - with oil and gas (BP and ENI have already resumed exploration), having the largest reserves in Africa and being one of the big 5 countries that have the richest oil reserves in the Middle East.

Heavy reliance on imports for consumer goods, technology and machinery creates opportunities for foreign businesses to meet aggressive local demand.

The urgent rehabilitation plan includes - yet not limited to - many major sectors such as building and construction, education, healthcare, manufacturing and machineries, energy, packaging solutions, IT and consumer electronics, apparel, F&B, hosting, services and overall retail and whole trade - to restore the economic strength of the country within a short-term 5-year plan.

All other economic sectors of the country are currently back on track offering tremendous opportunities, especially for foreign manufacturers and exporters of end products, machinery and technology with a long-term plan to make Benghazi the regional business hub for North Africa.
